Douglas Kellner is Distinguished Research Professor of Education in the School of Education and Information Studies at UCLA where he holds the George F. Kneller Chair in the Philosophy of Education. He has written extensively and is a world renowned theorist in critical media literacy and media culture. His work intersects with critical theory of the Frankfurt School and Cultural studies from the Birmingham Centre for Contemporary Cultural Studies, and goes beyond these to analyse contemporary 21st century approaches.
