Czarecah (Eya) Tuppil Oropilla, PhD is currently based in Bergen, Norway as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, where she is part of the KINDknow Centre (Kindergarten Knowledge Centre for Systemic Research on Diversity and Sustainable Futures) and where she also obtained her PhD. Her PhD research project was an exploration of intergenerational engagements and programmes between young children and older adults in the field of early childhood education and care settings, including kindergartens and family and community settings during the then ongoing pandemic. Currently, she is one of the co-leaders of the explorations and pedagogical innovations laboratory (EX-PED-LAB) project. She is working on exploring pedagogical innovations in early childhood education and care while also continuing intergenerational research. Her other research interests include children’s voices and participation, sustainable education, play and learning, and design thinking.
